Teimuraz I of Kakheti
A poet and king, he alternated resistance, negotiation and exile under pressure from Abbas I and his successors. The rebellion of 1625 allowed him to return and extend his authority to Kartli, but Rostom eventually displaced him. His family endured captivity, executions and displacement.
